The Prince Township Museum consists of 5 buildings including:

Prince United Church

The Prince United Church is one of the oldest still standing buildings in the area. The local farmers built it in 1885 on the corner of Town Line and Second Line.The church exemplifies early English Architecture.In 1926, the church was moved to its current location.Due to escalating maintenance cots the church closed in 1962. In 1979 it was opened as a museum and now contains social memorabilia up until the 1950’s.

Conway Log House

The log house was built in 1898 and was owned by William and Ida Conway. It was originally located in North Prince near Fourth Line. In 1995 it was taken apart and reassembled at the current location. The log house has two floors decorated with period furnishings.

One-Room Classroom

The classroom was built in 1937 after the brick veneer school (c. 1911) burnt down.The one-room classroom held all grades up until grade 8.Due to declining enrollment the school closed in 1983.The classroom still has its original wood flooring and now contains unique carvings depicting pioneer life. It also includes the history of Prince Township, the local Military History and information on Native Heritage


Implement Shed

The shed contains pioneer farm machinery from the early 1800’s to the early 1900’s including a Fanning Mill, a Turnip Chopper, and Seed Drill Hoses.

Implement Shed of Refurbished Farm Machinery

This shed contains rare farm machinery from 1820-1950 that has been restored by Charles Parr.It includes equipment like a Hay Loader, a thrashing Machine, a Straw Chopper, and a Disc Drill.
